Pão de queijo (Cheese buns made with cassava flour)
  • ○ Ingredients ○

    • 500 g Parmesan cheese
    • 500 g of sour cassava flour
    • 500 g of sweet cassava flour
    • 1 cup (250 ml) of milk
    • 1 cup (250 ml) of oil
    • 1 tablespoon of salt
    • 1 cup (250 ml) of water
    • 5 eggs

  • ○ Preparation ○

    1. Place the two flours in a large bowl and mix them.

    2. Place the milk, the salt, the oil and the water in a medium pot and bring to a boil.

    3. Pour this mixture onto the cassava flour and mix it with a wooden spoon until it cools down.

    4. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

    5. Work the dough with your hands, until it is smooth and almost cold.

    6. Add the eggs, one by one, until the dough is sticky but not runny.

    7. Add the cheese and knead well.

    8. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.

    9. Bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes.
