Greek Meatballs

Greek Meatballs
  • ○ Ingredients ○ (4 servings)

    • 1 lb/450g lean, finely minced lamb
    • 1 medium onion
    • 1 garlic clove, crushed
    • ½ cup fresh white or brown breadcrumbs
    • 1 tbsp chopped fresh mint
    • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
    • Salt and pepper
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • Olive oil, for brushing
How to make Greek Meatballs
  • ○ Directions ○

    1. Put the minced lamb into a bowl. Grate the onion, then add the garlic, breadcrumbs, mint, and parsley. Season well with salt and pepper. Mix the ingredients well then add the beaten egg and mix to bind the mixture together. Alternatively, the ingredients can be mixed in a food processor.

    2. With damp hands, form the mixture into 16 small balls and thread onto 4 flat metal skewers. Lightly oil a broiler pan and brush the meatballs with oil.

    3. Preheat the broiler and cook the meatballs under a medium heat for 10 min, turning frequently, and brushing with more oil if necessary, until browned.
